We will be sharing upcoming events, highlighting programs, the people we serve, and staff, as well as sharing news that effects our work. We will have several contributors and topics, ensuring both the serious and fun aspects of our agency. We are hoping to increase awareness of who we are and of the services we provide so that we can build support within our communities. It will also be a great way to communicate things going on within the agency for both employees and the people we serve.
In addition to this blog and our website at turncommunityservices.org, we have a Facebook fan page and are on Twitter at TURNDreams. Feel free to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter, and please comment, tweet or retweet us! We will also be on other social media sites including Pinterest and Linkedin soon. We’ll keep you posted.
Amy Kimball Engar will be heading this new project. Amy worked for TURN several years ago, helping Eleanor Houston-Till with recreation and Virginia Butler with payroll. Some of you might remember her as the staff with the silly hair and muddy face on river trips, others seeing her in the main office adding up employee time sheets in the days before payroll went digital. More recently she served on TURN’s Development Committee. She is excited about her new post and very happy to be back with TURN.
As we move forward, we will be looking for content for the blog as well as announcements, updates, news, etc. for Facebook and Twitter. If you would like to announce something going on at a program, any accomplishments, community events etc. please let Amy know by e-mailing her at amyengar@turndreams.org. Whether you are receiving services, on our staff or a community member, we would love to have your input.
Have a great day and come back soon!
